Here are three ways to help you achieve your 2018 New Year’s Resolutions. Continue reading
As January rolls in, you’re likely ready for change and have your resolutions outlined. Unfortunately, only 8% of people actually achieve their New Year’s Resolutions. This is the year your resolutions become accomplishments. Here are a few ways to ensure that:
Brittany Williams, Downtown Los Angeles Adams & Martin Group
Brittany Williams is an expert on service with a smile. As a Legal Assistant, Brittany works in Mediations and Arbitrations, assisting legal professionals. In a space where conflict is settled and parties are not always amicable, Brittany is always prompt and kind, organizing these interactions with an infectious positive attitude.
Brittany boasts an admirable work ethic, great communication skills, and a robust passion – so much so that the organization keeps extending her assignment!
Her team at Downtown LA Adams & Martin Group believes Brittany is a true Ambassador for both organizations, proudly representing Adams & Martin Group and her current assignment.
Recently, Brittany and the DTLA team had the opportunity to get together at the LA Justice Jog, benefiting the CASA organization. Brittany was in full enthusiastic support of her organization, and even took time to walk alongside Adams & Martin Group, thanking them for their help with her job search.
“Brittany has been a pleasure to work with,” says Brittany’s Adams & Martin Group representative Brooke Tyrell, “for us and the client!”
2016 has been interesting to say the least, but you have enough time to make the most of it, and even get a head start! As the year comes to a close, don’t abandon all you’ve worked to build.
Check in on those resolutions
According to the Statistic Brain Research Institute, only 8% of people achieve their New Year’s Resolution. If you’re part of the 92% who didn’t, it’s not too late. Revisit your resolutions and fulfill them before you begin your next set!
With the holidays coming, now is your chance to get everything in order. You’re bound to have visitors and tons of new goodies. Tidy up now and donate things that you no longer use. You’ll feel less overwhelmed once the chaos dies down.
Plenty of organizations need attention this holiday season. Charitable giving makes a big increase during the holiday months, but that’s not always true for smaller organizations or niche causes. Collect donations and volunteer for causes that may be less popular. This is especially true for team-based volunteering. Team holiday service opportunities can be booked well before November. However you choose to volunteer, be sure to give the organization plenty of notice so they can be prepared to meet you or accept your donations. Then, carry this habit with you into the new year!
While reports of how much weight we actually gain during the holiday season differ, it doesn’t hurt to try and remain active during this busy time. Do jumping jacks during the commercial breaks of your favorite holiday specials, push-ups in between wrapping each present, nightly walks with those you love.
This is an exciting time! Don’t stress over parking spots or last-minute year-end to-dos (even this list).
Enjoy the season and get stoked for the new year!
Thanks to the partnerships we have with business customers and community non-profits, we’ve been able to give back in many ways this year. Journey through our 2016 Year of Giving to see a few of the ways that we’ve been fortunate enough to give back.
The season of gratitude is before us. While we list things like our family and friends as what we are most grateful for, our workplaces often go forgotten. Only 10% of people say thank you to their colleagues on any given day, and 60% of people never express gratitude at work. Continue reading
