2016 has been interesting to say the least, but you have enough time to make the most of it, and even get a head start! As the year comes to a close, don’t abandon all you’ve worked to build.
Check in on those resolutions
According to the Statistic Brain Research Institute, only 8% of people achieve their New Year’s Resolution. If you’re part of the 92% who didn’t, it’s not too late. Revisit your resolutions and fulfill them before you begin your next set!
With the holidays coming, now is your chance to get everything in order. You’re bound to have visitors and tons of new goodies. Tidy up now and donate things that you no longer use. You’ll feel less overwhelmed once the chaos dies down.
Plenty of organizations need attention this holiday season. Charitable giving makes a big increase during the holiday months, but that’s not always true for smaller organizations or niche causes. Collect donations and volunteer for causes that may be less popular. This is especially true for team-based volunteering. Team holiday service opportunities can be booked well before November. However you choose to volunteer, be sure to give the organization plenty of notice so they can be prepared to meet you or accept your donations. Then, carry this habit with you into the new year!
While reports of how much weight we actually gain during the holiday season differ, it doesn’t hurt to try and remain active during this busy time. Do jumping jacks during the commercial breaks of your favorite holiday specials, push-ups in between wrapping each present, nightly walks with those you love.
This is an exciting time! Don’t stress over parking spots or last-minute year-end to-dos (even this list).
